Topic Description: Students will be learning about basic music concepts while developing a repertoire of known songs, games, and dances.

Learning Activities

Ask your child to share the songs they learned in music class with you.
Invite your child to teach you the rules of a music class game, and then play along with them. Encourage your child to invent original words or melodies for songs they learned in class. Participate in a music class or concert as a family. Many options are available at your local library or the Old Town School of Folk Music. (Mr. Marsland will pass along information on any concerts he becomes aware of during the school year.) |
